Wow. This is GORGEOUS. I'm really, really glad you're exploring what happens after, with them dealing with what's happened to them both. I'd thought this series was done - I'm thrilled to be wrong! ^_^

I don't believe in happily ever after.

Nothing in any world is "ever after". And it always kills me when a story just ends and you get no hint of what happens next.

Oh I love this! I love that we get to see how they try to go back to life after what they've been through!
Loved the Mystrade thing there, too. And I am not a shipper, but I sort of liked that so much.
I can't wait to see John and Sherlock sorting it all out.

Oy, you should've seen the first draft. Greg and Mycroft completely commandeered it.

I am a Mystrade shipper. I started off sompletely baffled and weirded out that anyone would actually ship them, then out of raging curiosity I read a Mystrade fic, one where Mycroft was the captcha guy, and from there I was hooked.

But I know not a lot of people are Mystrade shippers, and this is primarily a Sherlock/John story, and I rather like the ambiguity, so I left any real Mystrade out. From here, Greg and Mycroft can go any number of ways. They could be friends, they could be colleagues, they could fall in love. I don't know. They don't know. The seeds are sewn and they'll grow however they will and that's that.

I'm actually rather proud of myself for managing it, actually. ^.^

So, for those of us who aren't initiated into Mystrade, which was it? I'd rather start with a good one and see if it works for me than dismiss the whole ship out of hand.

Oh, I wish I knew. It was a kinkmeme fill.

But if you want good, and I mean REALLY good Mystrade, you can't do better than At Least There's the Football by Sheffiesharp.

I...I just...I can't. I've sat here ten minutes and I still can't think of any words remotely suited to what you just created. You are a beautiful, gifted, incredible person. I may love you quite a bit more than is necessary. Just...yeah.

A life lived by necessity is a life half lived.

I look forward to your comments more than is necessary. And I refuse to apologise for it. ^.^
