Loving this so far, but out of curiosity was the falconry thing a reference to TTOBB? I loved that fic as well and I remember (Henn I think) one of the soldiers having Margaret. If so, lovely touch- if not, interesting coincidence!

I'm usually not into super-au fics but I'm having great fun with this. It isn't at all what I thought it was going to be and now I'm totally hooked on the plot.

Actually yeah, a little bit. That's the story where I found out about the falconry trend, and I eneded up looking into it myself. I thought it'd be a neat little addition. Good eye.
