If you're going to consider slash.....I think it would work better with characters already created. Not that it really interests me that much...it would be even less so with characters that are not already established and known.
You don't like the slash genre anyway which would make the story less interesting to you from the beginning.
As far as using characters that I create, it would be the same as sitting down to read a fiction story. It will be up to me to make my characters interesting.
not my cup of tea, i'm afraid. I used to enjoy a game called "Yarn" that was on a thing called "M-player" in which 3 or more players created story, sentence by sentence, then the players vote on the sentences they liked best and whichever has the most votes gets added to the story :)
