Sunday, I got to do something I hardly do anymore which is read a book in one sitting.  Who knew laundry bought one excuses for such luxury?  So, I read Horns by Joe Hill.  I've been looking forward to this book since I view 20th Century Ghosts as life changing, and Heart Shaped Box as fun and just kick ass awesome.  Those views held me to the

A very large number of people who write excellent short stories ultimately write very average novels.

Can you guess why?

Yeah. But given how well done Heart-Shaped Box was, I assumed he had transcended that categorization.
