Ooh, my legs and lower back ache and Jana's still asleep, but I feel pretty good. I'm also wearing my new

Regarding the location of the plot, I kinda thought that about it. You'll spend a lot of time getting to know your fellow regulars and keeping up with their gardens and lives... Gotta learn to rake and talk I guess. But it'll be fun. I'm sure they'll like having you as a neighbor then the one that wouldn't cooperate with the simplest requests.
All I can think of when I see those pics is how amazing it will look once you've built your garden there! That and boy those paths could sure use some clearing or landscape fabric and mulch. hehe. Keep up the great work!

So far, everyone I've met has been really nice. I'm hoping with SQ2 gardening, I will be doing less "raking" and more talking. :)
Our registration fee includes some mulch and compost. I understand they haven't been ordered yet, but I'm looking forward! I will still probably have to purchase some. I think it may take a couple of seasons to get it to where I'm most comfortable though. At least it's getting my kid outdoors. :)

I agree, getting the kids outside and interested in gardening is half the fun.
Seeing your plot, I'm hoping you expand your beds such that the entire plot is raised bed and pathway. You would have SOOOO much produce that it would make the traditional gardeners eyes bulge out. In the meantime, enjoy producing as big a harvest as anyone in 1/10 the space.
Finally, glad YOU are enjoying it and the people. Gardeners are a fun group I've found. Keep up the good work!
