the rowing sounds great. my own boating dreams, for any location (preferably with water) involve sailing, but rowing (along with punting) is what comes to mind when I think about England and colleges, so that's neat. do you wear white v-neck sweaters? ;P I think punting about the Thames and reciting poetry is a good item to have on my list of "things to make sure to do at least once."

yay for Jordan and Syria! you are living the life of the classics major gone rock star. *g* (well, for me at least. I sit around muttering "Mnviv Aida Thea" and assuring me that that is too proof that I took Greek for 4 semesters. *roll*
