What we got was a whole 'nother level of story telling and a completely different feel and tone for the week.
As I told Mr NTB I have thoroughly enjoyed this series more than any of the Doctor Who specials.
I may not agree with some of the specifics, but overall I think this is the best television I have seen in a while.

I waited through much of my childhood for the Beatles to exist, was deliriously gratified when they finally did, will always love their music and respect their contribution (come on, there wouldn't be any Britpop without the giants' shoulders of the Beatles and the Kinks to stand on), found all of them vastly talented and two of them to be good and useful friends later on, and never understood why anyone would scream for them :D
