'hey, are you doing anything with these old shoeboxes?'
Bwahahaha! Last night I was telling my Dearly Beloved about this post (getting him to read LJ is like pulling the proverbial teeth), and I described Habitat 67 as looking "like someone dropped a lorryload of shoeboxes from a great height and then sprayed them with quick-setting concrete" :D
Aha! You found the culprit for all those aweful Soviet apartment buildings built in the 50's cos if he didn't design them that means there's more than one person who thinks like that...
Clearly his mother denied him access to Leggo when he was a child. And quite probably a happy childhood as well. Those are not the designs of a happy person. They're the designs of a person who's pissed off and wants to make everyone as miserable as he is...was..er!

And succeeded. All those years of me glaring at the visual pollution of the London skyline and wanting to strangle whoever designed 'em, and then the bastard has the nerve to die before I can get my hands on his throat :-(
