My grandma's kitty has spent the last 4-5 days sleeping under the comforter on her bed, no doubt wondering where her human is.

That's really depressing. What's going to happen to the kitty?

She'll stay with my grandpa. He'll grump about her and say she doesn't like him except when she's hungry, but I think he likes having her around. Plus she'll eventually start sleeping next to him, I think. When I lived with them my grandma had acute kidney failure and was in the hospital for 3 weeks.. after a few days the cat came and started sleeping with me at night. She's not a really affectionate kitty most of the time, but she loved my grandma. Would follow her all over the house and nap with her and slept with her every night.

Also, I think she's been hiding out just because the house was full of people all weekend and my aunt brought her dogs down.

Yeah.. I'd decided to wait on adopting a kitty until I get back from Argentina, but I think I'm going to see how things go with my grandpa for a while first, so I can take their cat if I need to. I don't think she'll get along with other cats as she's never been around any.

How long are you going to be in Argentina?

Three weeks for a study abroad course in Virology. We'll be at the University of Cordoba.

I mean, I have a roommate to take care of a kitty, but I feel like it's not fair to adopt one and then leave for so long when they're still getting used to stuff.
