These are the top 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing's users (as of today, 30 September 2007). As usual, bold what you have read, italicise what you started but couldn't finish, and strike through what you couldn't stand. Add an asterisk to those you've read more than once. Underline those on your to-read list.

A great many of these were required reading in high school, so I'm kind of wondering about LibraryThing's users..

I was going to say the exact same thing!! That's not to say I actually read most of them either, just that I too was required to...

Oh, and I FINALLY just finished Dune. Of course, I couldn't have read it. I l-read it via Scott Brick. It's good after about the 5th disc. That first 5 though I needed to replay every one, I just wasn't getting it.
Actually, interestingly, a lot of those are currently on my list to l-read, one (Anansi Boys) is currently in my car. Yeah yeah, purist readers hate me. It all goes down the same.

ps. ugh Wuthering Heights. I may could've made it through an audio book. I did not make it through the second chapter. And it was required. I don't know how I passed english.

Hey you spend like an hour or more in the car twice a day. You may as well listen to audio books.. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. It's a good way to get something out of time you can't use for anything else (I mean, not counting the traffic and cursing at ATL drivers)

Sometimes I call atari and we have the worlds slowest and stupidest race around the perimeter. that also carries no value though...
