Whitechapel Series Four to Premier September 4!

Hell to the yes. A very spoilery S4 press packet is also available here. I read the cast interviews, and oh yes, it definitely sounds like Whitechapel is going to continue to bring the high quality angst, character-centered drama, and declarations of manly friendship.

Squeeeeee!

I take it that it's September 4 *there,* though, and who knows when here? (Not reading links due to spoilers.)

Alas, yes. No word yet if BBCA has bought it, let alone when they'll airing it here, though they did say that Whitechapel was their most popular Dramaville show, so I'm thinking they will air it eventually, and probably soon. Given how quickly shows come out on DVD in the UK, you'll probably see it before it airs on BBCA!

On the bright side, BBCA picked up Luther S3 and is airing it in a mini-series format September 3-6, so if you have a friend with satellite...

Comcast has BBCA, so I don't need a friend for that. For *cough*obtaining*cough* Whitechapel before the DVDs arrive, though...

I'm on Amazon.co.uk's mailing list for when the DVDs are announced. At least in theory I am.

I suppose it's far too much for the global market to treat every show like Doctor Who: airing in America 5 hours later and available for individual episode purchase the day after. Which is a pity, because I would buy *so much*!

IIRC, BBCA aired S3 just a couple of weeks after it finished airing on ITV, so I've got hope that it will come quickly.

From your lips! I don't buy a lot on iTunes (I'd rather have the discs, as I still don't trust computers as a permanent storage method, especially when US corps insist on so much DRM crap), but I'd totally be buying this series, and a lot of others, if only they were issued. But this is why I have an all-region DVD player.
