New Abrams/Kripke Show Preview

May 13, 2012 20:18

NBC has released a promo for the new J.J. Abrams/Eric Kripke sci-fi drama, Revolution:

Is it September yet? I'm trying really hard to keep my expectations reasonable, but I'm not sure there could be a show more finely calibrated to mash all my fannish buttons.

Don't suppose your rabbit ears work out there?

It looks fantastic. But can I trust them to actually finish a show? They got me on Alcatraz.

well, pray there's no writers' strike and we may have some hope (Heroes)

Yes, I watched all of Alcatraz, The River, and Terra Nova. I'm a three-time loser this season.

Given this promo though... I'm inclined to go for it. I figure I should do what I can to promote good sci-fi, and hope the network doesn't bail out.

Mine were Alcatraz, Terra Nova, Missing, and The Finder...

Better luck next year.

I must admit; after been burned about shows I liked getting prematurely pulled, I know I'll be slow to love a show until I know it'll stick around. But I love the concept. A bunch of us were just talking about it yesterday: a mix of Dark Angel and Battlestar.

I'm putting a tiny bit of faith in Kripke and Abrams. They both came out with stuff I liked.

(fingers crossed)

can anyone say... JERICHO? But yeah, this looks great! And my losers this year were Missing, Terra Nova, Alcatraz, and not apropos of any of these shows, but darn it, I loved Pan Am! ;-)
