I promised mrwubbles I'd wait to see The Avengers with her and all our friends at MediaWest*Con. I want to do this, I'm going to do this (we did this for the Star Trek reboot and it was amaaaazing), but it seems like everyone else in fandom has seen it and is busy filling up the Internet with how awesome it is

Yeah, I've been AWOL for two months. Between work and vacation and getting the zine out, I've been running flat out. I'm hoping things will even out in June.

You're a real trooper to wait! My friends here already saw it so I'm excited to have a chance to see it. Plus, seeing it and getting to discuss after with a con full of friends who just gets me makes it doubly exciting!

If only RDJ's Sherlock comes out every Christmas, we could tea and squee in NY! :)

Yes! That was my fave part of waiting for Star Trek, too. I know it's going to be awesome, I just have to get through the next two weeks!

If only! We'll have to find something else to entertain us this year (I'm not giving up our tea and squee).

however long you last, remember this:

1) It is HILARIOUS - make sure you go potty before you settle in for the 2.5 hours of one liners and zippy comebacks.

2)it's 2.5 hours and you don't want to miss a minute - stock up on snacks and get the large drink before you get your seat.

3)If you go with a New Yorker (or someone who was there on or just after 9/11) be warned that they may be distracted by the major battle scenes

4) MAKE VERY SURE that you stay for the WHOLE credits - entire credits (after all the sponsors' and teamsters' logos). Remember that this is a Marvel movie and there's always something at the very end - even if there is something else before.

nah, not going to make it - many reasons despite how i've used every free second trying to figure out how to make it work. Too much stuff going on and found out last night that Judy might not even make it this year. Her roommate at home is in the hospital. Please keep her in your prayers.

On the other hand, my house is sssssllllllloooooowwwwwwlllllyyyyyy nearing completion and i'll be able to work on some long overdue projects.....24
