well, you know, i just bought a MH that needs the reno completed...the bridge might be doable in my addition - but i'm not sure if i can get these in since my walls are only 4 inches thick at best.

Wanna come and help me try?

Oh, that's totally what we need to do with the partially completed addition. I'm not sure if the MH walls are strong enough to take the pneumatic doors--we'll need to find an engineer.

I have no skills or abilities. Can this be like Habitat for Humanity, where I just show up and someone tells me where to swing the hammer? -- #24

This feels more like an Atlantis door to me. They had to push buttons or wave a hand to open doors.

I want the real Star Trek ones that open automatically... like at the grocery store!

Maybe if I ever get a house, I'll invite you and Maddog over. She's very handy.

IDK, I think we could figure out some kind of single pocket door modification fairly easily, then get one of those motion sensors that you mention.

Given the email conversation we're currently having about the zombie apocalypse, I'd be worried that she might booby trap your house with zombie warfare explosives, or similar.

I would't think of it as "booby-trapping," it's more like ensuring my safety against future ravaging hordes.

She does it out of love.

And boredom.

And possible use of explosives...

As Captain Kirk said (famous last words, in fact), "Oh my."
