Judgment Day

The networks have made their final renewal/cancellation decisions. I'm most surprised about the cancellation of Almost Human. While it turned out not to be my favorite of the new shows, it had solid ratings for its network and timeslot. And it wasn't a case of FOX clearing the decks--less well-performing shows, including Glee and The Mindy Project ( Read more... )

but Karl Urban has a pretty good movie career going. I would think that may have been a problem too.

Ah, I hadn't considered that at all.

But, we have SELFIE to look forward to next season!!
(and the only reason i will even THINK of watching it is that Karen Gillan is in it.)

I am SO SORRY that show looks like such a dog. Gillan deserves better material (I am cringing at the thought of that American accent, too).

Yeah, her American is terrible, and she is such a great performer, with both comic and dramatic chops, and they give her this?! And she takes it?! Sigh. But I will watch, because, you know. Scottish red-headed eye candy, Doctor or no.

I definitely agree with on regarding AoS. It's just middle of the road. I do like May, however. I like her relationship with Coulson and I have to admit I just like watching her kick ass. I'm pretty much watching the show for the two of them. And by "watching" I mean playing it in the background while I cook dinner. :)

Heh, we're of the same mind there! I quite enjoyed May and Coulson's scenes together (at times it seemed like they were the only full-fledged adults on the team).

But..but...I LOVE Fitz-Simmons! Does that make me a shallow person? ;-) I had a lot of fun watching SHIELD. It still has some Whedonish humor. I gave up on Tomorrow People after the umpteenth time I noticed I was spending far more time staring at Mr. Amell's facial mole than in what was going on in the show. Ick. I have several eps of The 100 to catch up on but it's been interesting; if I can tell the teens apart, I'm more likely to stick with a CW show (I gave up on Vampire Diaries coz damn they were all clones of each other!). And I love the actress who plays the main chick's mother on the space station; hoping she doesn't get killed off (NO SPOILERS PLEASE). I stuck with Hostages all the way through but was gritting my teeth by the end. Anyone watching Crisis? Much better show with similar premise. I am bummed about Almost Human's cancellation but I kind of figured it was doomed; what scifi cop show ever lasts more than one season?

Aw, not shallow! In the end, it's all a matter of taste.

LOLOL Oh my goodness! Well, I can confidently assure you you did not miss anything.

No, I forgot to add it to my DVR, and well, once I miss the beginning of a show... Good enough I should catch up?

yeah, I've been enjoying Crisis. It's not perfect, but I love the dynamic between the two main characters, one in the FBI and one in the Secret Service. And Gillian Anderson is always good to watch. It's had some surprising twists and turns.
