Jury Service

I started Jury Service yesterday. It's been quite interesting. I didn't get on a case yesterday and just sat in the Jury Assembly Area all day. I got speaking to some women: Anna, Rachael, Sue and Vicky. We didn't half have a laugh. I got on a case today. Obviously I can't discuss it, especially not here, but it looks like it's going to last

Do you get payed for jury service?

Nope. If you work you still get paid as if you were in work. But because I don't have set hours (I work when I'm needed at a Youth group) I don't get paid - despite being offered loads of work for these two weeks which I've had to turn down.

I'd love to do jury service! I wouldn't be very good at not talking about it though. I'm terrible at keeping things to myself. Lol.
