G-Bar's Alton Towers Trip
It came, it finally came!! My Star Wars DVD arrived through the post yesterday. I couldn't watch it yesterday because I was at Alton Towers, but I've just finished my Star Wars Trilogy marathon today. Wow, it brought back fond memories of 1977, 1980 and 1983, and I wasn't even born until 1986 lol! It was good to see Han shooting first again, the Lapti Nek song, and the original Ewok Yub Yub celebration complete with Sebastian Shaw's ghost.
G-Bar's Alton Towers trip was awesome!! I spent most of the day with Ricky (rickyorr), Jack, and Tom. We started off on the big rides: Oblivion was first, followed by Rita: Queen of Speed, Nemesis, and Air. I loved Air because I felt like Superman haha. Tom was too scared to go the big roller coasters, so we went on some of the more shittier rides too, such as Duel: The Haunted House Strikes Back. It was a very bizarre ride, you have to shoot the ghosts as you're going around the haunted house, and your scores are printed on the photograph at the end. As you can tell from my score, and the expression on my face, I wasn't very impressed with this ride:
We also went on the Congo River Rapids in the torrential rain:
And on The Flume, but we were already soaked so we couldn't get any wetter:
We also went on Enterprise, Submission, Spinball Whizzer, Hex, Corkscrew, the Tea Cups and the UG Swinger. Submission was the sickest ride I've ever been on, Alex and Paul (some of G-Bar's wonderful bar staff) were almost throwing up. But I've never been as scared before in my life as I was on the UG Swinger. It's only a shitty ride, and me and Jack were the only two people on it. The metal chains were making a lot of creaking sounds and my swing kept twisting to face outwards, the swing in front of me kept twatting my knees, and my feet were centimeters away from hitting a big metal pillar. I was so glad when the ride ended.

The day flew by, and not even the weather could make the day shit. It was bloody awesome! And it's such a small world because I bumped into my friend Jen from University a few times. There's quite a few pictures here for you to browse through, but they were taken on my stepdad's shitty digital camera so most of them are blurred. For some bizarre reason most of the pictures are of the UG Swinger, it looks like it was the only thing we went on all day hehe.
I so can't wait for G-Bar's next Gay Day Out!
When the coach returned to G-Bar everyone headed home because they were knackered. I was supposed to be meeting back up with JaiB and Paul in town after collecting Tommy, but Tommy couldn't make it now and I couldn't afford a taxi home on my own, so I didn't end up goin back out. I went home and watched Extras and Bad Girls instead. Extras was good, and I'm so glad Darlene is alive in Bad Girls, and when Donny said "I love you" to Janine I was like "awwwwwwww". I've really enjoyed this latest season of Bad Girls, but last night's episode was the last episode until the Christmas Special in December. Hopefully this Christmas' will be much better than that dire Christmas Special last year.
