Is your icon for the British version of Life on Mars? Because I just saw the series finale of the American version, and I was wondering if they had the same ending...
Well, season 1 or 2? (Coz the American series isn't being picked up for another season is it?)
Season 1 ended with umm... oh yeah. Sam has to investigate his own father. Sam doesn't want to believe he's guilty but Gene eventually proves that he is. But instead of arresting his father Sam lets him get away. Throughout the episode you start to think that Sam's about to wake up but at the end of the ep he's still in the past.
Season 2 ends with Sam waking up in the present again only to find that it is a cold and sterile place and no longer what he wants. So he jumps off a building and lands back in 1973 again. Finishes with the group driving off and the Test Card Girl switches off the screen. (Although is there a test card girl or some variant in the US version? Young, creepy hallucination that Sam continues to see over and over again.)

I love the coloring on 13 & 14, "hug #126" is great, and 18 & 19 are just beautiful.
Nice job!
