Poor Dean, I'm with him. Neither one of us would be good at that, we're not dumb we're just.... hmmm, has anyone ever thought to test Dean for ADD? I mena, that's my problem so I may be projecting, again, but it really does fit. (Especially if you subscribe to the hunters vs gatherers evolutionary theory) He may have found one of those rare jobs where ADD is an asset not a detriment.

And I will now go back to my corner and quit babbling.

Not so sure about ADD, I don't know that much about it.

I've always thought that he was really smart, he just isn't one for abstract thought. It's kind of boring to him. I think he'd rather have something concrete to do.

If you ever decide you need to research it for anything I highly recommend "You Mean I'm Not Lazy, Stupid or Crazy?!" it's very well done. Or if you'd rather just ask question, I'm always willing to answer. :~}

He's very much a hands on learner, any time they're forced to just sit and talk or research you can see the frustration and tension in him until he finally breaks free of the "drudgery".

And he's very proud of the skills he has.

Yes, but when he has to research, he does. although, unlike Sam, I think Dean is much more comfortable finding an expert to walk him through it. Both times he was hunting by himself, he went off to find a college professor to answer his questions.

*nods* When I was writing this, I was remembering Mag7, where everyone else was focused on the 7 demons and worrying about the big problem, while Dean was joking and making refrences to movies.

That was great chapter. I loved all Dean's little pop culture comments/jokes, that is such a Dean thing to do.

*nods* Yeah, Dean shows signs at times of being a big dork. Which is part of his appeal.
