This week, the DC universe is rebooting all of it's titles. One of the casualties is Superman's wedding. As of this week, he and Lois Lane are cannonically no longer married. Which is as stupid as the deal with the devil that Marvel used a few years ago to reset Spiderman so that he and Mary Jane were no longer married. (why U no LIke Strong Female ( Read more... )

I think it's fitting. 70 years was the only argument the other side had going for it til the show rebooted itself magically in s9, so whatever. THEY ARE NOT MARRIED NOW!

I'm actually pretty fond of comic book Lois Lane. When the marriage happened in the book, she started to get more interesting. Mainly because they gave her something to do besides competing with Lana Lang for Clark/Superman's attention. (Lana, otoh, suddenly came across as a desperate, homewrecking witch.) Going back to that after all this time feels like a step backward.

Ah well, 38 year old white fanboys who want the comic to go back to the way it was when they were teenagers are in charge. The Inmates are running the asylum, and it's all the worse for us!

I really want that book. I mean, like, really, really. I did a quick search and the only place it's coming up on is Amazon for Kindle. I couldn't find it on smashwords. Link?

I think a part of them (smallville) probably would have kept it going anyway retcon or no. I mean, that would be like admiting a mistake!
