There! I said it!

When you see this, post five unpopular fandom opinions in your journal.

1.  I ship Ginny/Harry.  I think it's great how JKR developed her characters so that they had a lot going on in offscreenville (offpageville?).  And I personally think JKR intended Ginny to be this amazingly feisty, independent woman.  At least that's how she is in my head.

I never watched Roswell, but I've been meaning to go search out the DVDs. Now I don't want to, so thanks for freeing up some of my time!

Season one isn't bad. I'm re-watching with my husband. I just don't remember all the melodrama as being so melodramatic.

i just might have to think about this and do it!

1. agreed!
2. hmm... good point there, but i didn't see SV this season. besides, she's a female, the fandom would hate her there. i do wish she'd talk to me.
4. O.o

it's YA vamp crack.... it started out as a trilogy, then she added a book - all in 1992. then she wrote a 5th book that was out earlier this year. heh.

Well, mostly in that Liz is rescued by a special boy, and then spends a lot of time pining, while he's across the room pining, and there isn't really anything keeping them apart. So every episode is pretty much
Liiiiiiiizzzzz!
Maaaaaxxxxx!
With a little alien plot.

I actually like it. When it was out, I was convinced that SV killed it, because s1 aired opposite S3 of Roswell and not even a Buffy lead in could save it. (And let's face it, I was flipping the channel for S1 tom welling's abs. And feeling like a dirty old woman for lusting after teh high school hottie.)

But on reflection, I think it was the 'king of antar' plotline. They pretty much spent the whole year building up to the mystery of their past, and then you got that. I think there was a lot of collective head scratching and general WTFery going on.

It's a trap that Lost got with the Hatch in S 1. I think for the most part, JJ Abrams and Kripke have avoided it by ending the mystery before it can get built up too much and providing a new mystery.

Great, I think you might have just ruined my affection for Roswell. :Sighs: At least Roswell did it first! (Although from what I've gathered from Twilight, is that it is full of archetypes and stereotypes.) Why is it hard for women on SN to have a good role? That's what I wanna know.

Agreed. I used to hope that Chloe would be lois, but then I got pretty sick of SV's version of Superman, and now I kind of hope that Chloe takes her show on the road and leaves the pod person she has become back in SV.
