Back from weekend away- Trip report

The trip this weekend was wonderful.  We spent the weekend in Dallas, and both hubby and I got to do things that we wanted.  I wanted to go to the museum and see the King Tut exhibit and spend a day at the Renassance faire, Hubby wanted to test drive sports car see nice houses and look around the galleria (I make him sound so much more shallow than

Not really. We were just talking the other day, and Dallas is only 4 hours away. We've done weekends in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Kansas city, Memphis, Little rock and Branson (shudder), but never Dallas. We couldn't think why not, so we did.

Although, Hubby has family in HOuston, and we've done weekends there too. But not often, because Houston is 8 hours away.

Sounds like you had an amazing time.

I had a friend who lived in Dallas for some sixty years who relocated to Florida a few years ago. Always wanted to visit the place, so nice to get another glimpse of it.

It's a nice place to visit. Like I said above, I've been to a lot of the big regional cities in the midsouth area, and Dallas has a very different feel to it.
