I think my ambition for this week is to be The Russian judge at some point.

This Brian Davis fellow - what do we know about him? What's his rank? Is he truly upstanding, as we're supposed to suppose all cops are? How long has he been on the job, and, while we're at it, how old is he? Is he cute? Is he married? What's his sign? What's his motivation? Does he have any Grey Poupon? Inquiring mind(s)...

Yes, yes - I know I can't ask how much he knows, if Chloe is the second or third Slayer to come through KC, whether he comes from a good family, much less whether he'll be making Dean and Spike jealous by getting time with their slayer or if it'll just be Dean while Spike resolves that Dean, Chloe & Co. might be better than Passions in non-sweeps months. I mean, I can't ask any of of that. I'm just looking for the sort of info that would be unearthed if I worked particular Google-fu. You know: birth, death, graduation, marriage, meritorious honor announcements, etc.... Ple-ease...

Excellent action sequence! I could picture it all in my mind, and even had tension filled background music playing in my head to match. The snark was on target too. Russian judge. ::snicker::

I'm guessing the cops in KC aren't as oblivious as those on the Hellmouth. Wonderful update!

The hellmouth cops had the distinction of actually living on a hellmouth. And while a lot of people will convice themselves that they simply didn't see that thing they just saw for their own sanity, not everyone will do that.

Fortunately, chloe works at a newspaper, so she's in the perfect position to write cover-up stories.

She just needs to come up with something better than Chupacabra. XD

Hmm, true. A Chupacabra is supposed to be able to take down goats, not a large church bell and tower.

Excellent point about Chloe being able to create cover stories with her new position, too. I didn't even think about that.
