Thanks. I see John as one of those types who is prepared for anything. Desert survival is just one more of those skills he would have passed down to his boys.

Another great chapter to a fantastic series. I've never watched Supernatural (gasp, horror, I know), but I stumbled across your fic and thought that I would give it a try anyways. Love it, love it. CW should thank you...I'm now not only watching the show now but have bought the last two seasons on dvd.....thank you!

Welcome aboard. And I suppose we should blame Clarksmuse and Xtremeroswellia. I read their epic Two Guys, A Girl and a Chevy Impala, which was what got me hooked on Supernatural and writing fanfic again.

Ok, I'm going to throw this out there because you're better at understanding the inner workings of the boys than I am.
Why do they keep so many secrets from each other? I understand the strict "no chick flick moments" policy that Dean adheres to (mostly), but telling him that he can track Chloe by scent isn't exactly a chick flick moment. It's not that I think you have it wrong, it's that I KNOW that you're right: Dean wouldn't tell Sam about his abilities. But why? Why does he frustrate me so?

It's because on some level, Dean himself thinks that it's weird. Dean dosen't talk about things that creep him out. He likes to be normal.

To him, being able to move faster is cool. Being able to smell blood is just weird.

In Season one, when Sam was first discovering that he had psychic abilities, Dean's standard party line was "you're normal. Let's not talk about this."

Dean just knew. Gotta love that and the fact that Sam didn't question him. I hope the boys are able to find Chloe pronto. We don't need any claustrophobic repeats.

Sam and Dean have a lot of trust. Enough that Sam backs Dean up. But it helped that he picked up on the lack of rings for a visual cue.
