This was AWESOME! I especially loved reading Mary and John Winchester here. I miss John in the show and I've never read a fic with their mom in there. It's weird to see the brother kinds different here but it's awesome. Also with Superman and Chloe I wonder what's up with that. If there's more I can't wait to read it :D

The brothers here are partially inspired by the way they were in What is and What should never be. There, they didn't really get along. I'm just kind of extrapolating that out a bit.

I hadn't given much thought to what they'd be like without YED, or at least not past over-analyzing "What is and What Should Never Be" anyway. But your positioning of the Winchesters as Dean the firefighter and Sam the G-man is fascinating. Also, is there an common title or tag for those stories from tobywolf13?

Not so much. They aren't SPN stories. I just decided in my head that since Chloe's powers of resurrection and healing tears were like Fawkes the Phoenix from Harry Potter, that I'd always give her JL codename as Fawkes.

I have a set of fics labeled Jason Verse in which she is actively Fawkes in the JLU but it's about her family life and when she interacts with the Batman and Impulse, she's not in uniform.

I also have a very long series called the Lara Verse in which Chloe is, again, the Fawkes of the JLU and there's a fight scene and a long debate between her and the other heads, including Bruce and Ollie.

Finally, I do have a Chloe-meets-Dean ficlet (my only SPN cross) called, "I turned into a dog once and they helped me." It's under the sv/spn crossover tage on my side bar.

So, I had already enjoyed your Chlart, and found "I turned into a dog once..." to be even funnier, especially since I read the Thanksgiving story first. Now I'm off to dig in your -verse stories. Across the board, though, you have a very fun, completely relatable Chloe.

Loved it, of course ;)

I liked the quick efficient back and forth between the guy in blue and the mystery woman, true to SV. I also like the Dean-Sam dynamic you've created. It follows, logically, much more from "What is and never shall be" and I want to see how they relate to each other in the world where Sam got to be the law student/FBI type and Dean was someone he couldn't relate to.

Mostly, I want to see Chloe out being a superheroine.

This is actually kind of a growing thing for Chloe. She hasn't put on a uniform yet. Her act saving Dean is actually kind of her first steps toward being a super hero of the epic kind.

Clark too, for that matter.

I got that since she was still in a business suit that she was just starting out.

It was kind of an impulsive thing on her part. She was kind of there to watch Clark at work.
