Hmm...teenage Chloe and Dean. Yep, I think it would turn out a lot like that. For some reason those two at that age remind me of Chloe and Whitney.

I guess it's all about timing and headspace. At fourteen, Chloe would have probably liked Sam a whole lot more than Dean. And at eighteen, Dean was not into fourteen year olds. (and in canon, it would have been more like 10 and eighteen, but I fudge Chloe's age up to about the same as Sam's for the sake of fanfic XD )

*ROTFL* waht a nice laugh so early in the morning. LOVED IT! U really have an amazing skill in getting into Dean's mind. I love it :D

Dean is not a very complicated guy on the surface. And this is a surface kind of fic. Mechanics, Girls, Snark, junkfood, hunting.

Part of the point is the irony that these two people, who in other fics are so OTP, totally miss each other because they only see what's on the surface.

But in so many ways, teens can be like that.

YOu would have first hand observations of this.

LOL! At fourteen she has a thin patina of jaded. At 21, she's developed a thick veneer that's almost incrackable.

But she did spot the neanderthal tendencies across a crowded gym.

And her speculating Dean's Lana Stalker potential = shout outs to Jason. XD

*nods* Sometimes I think that's lana's secret meteor power. The ability to bring out the crazy and/or latent stalker tendencies in most anyone.
