Yay! Black Jack is my favorite work by Osamu Tezuka and one of my favorite manga/anime characters ever. Reading the Black Jack manga totally inspired this strip. Unfortunately I didn't use him any differently than I'd use any other doctor in this particular strip (he could've been Dr. Mario and the strip would've still worked just as well),
