I HATE TIME WARNER CABLE!

Cable and Internet are down at my house, thanks to Time Warner and their shitty modem, internet, and digital phone lines. I swear Time Warner has given us nothing but trouble. Add in the fact that I can't upload my comic, I'm trying to sell things on Ebay to gain a little extra Christmas cash, and I have bills that I need to pay via the internet

That's the one thing I've noticed about DSL over the years: I can count on it being up at all times. There's been some disconnects, but they're so few and far between that I can just assume the connection WILL be there when I request something.

Sure, it's considerably slower than cable out here, but the reliability more than makes up for it. Especially back when we had the old @Home Network (effectively, Comcast). That would just fall apart on a nearly-daily basis.

All this DOES make me a bit concerned, of course, given when I move to Kentuckistan, I'll have cable via Insight Communications. But thankfully, my brother's had good luck with Insight in Columbus, and they're a bit smaller/more regional a company than Time-Warner or Comcast...
