Hi flist! I've been around only minimally for the past week or so, and this will continue for the next two. There were fabulous shenanigans with my best beloved gabolange, and now I'm hanging out for a little while with the folks and the siblings. I'm a full two weeks behind on Doctor Who and The Killing (the latter of which was losing my attention pretty ( Read more... )

It really is! I think it was laurashapiro (or maybe one of the other commenters--I can't completely remember) who said it best: the women have become their own superheroes.

Miss you, tooooooooo!!!!! Hope the packing and other Tahoe prep is going well!

There are many of the sources in that vid I haven't seen--particularly the earlier ones; once we hit the 80s I'm pretty good--but I've seen enough for it to really work well for me.

And I've actually been intending to ask about the Danish version of the show, because I've felt that it must surely have handled everything much better (and keep in mind that I'm still two weeks, and coming up on three, behind--I sort of gathered from you that it went even more off the rails in the eps I haven't seen), but I'd also heard that the American version hadn't changed much, so I was curious. You're making a good case, though I'm not sure when I'd get around to it.

The good thing about being two weeks behind on Who, is that it happens to be one of their two parter episodes. You won't have angst about finding out what happens in the predictable "cliffhanger" of a two parter. You can just move right along to what happens.

Oh, a femgenficathon? Sounds intriguing.
