I watched the second ep of Body of Proof, and it was better than the first, especially writing-wise, but still not particularly good. It may never rise above solidly mediocre, but the protagonist, Megan Hunt, keeps doing this thing that makes me love her: she'll be thinking or talking about some stressful personal thing, and then suddenly she makes

Actually, the Pacific Northwest is rather shockingly white, so that's not entirely inaccurate. I saw more black people on a bus ride from Midway to aj's apartment in Chicago than I see in a whole year in Portland. Possibly than I've seen since I've moved here, five years ago. So, yeah. (The asian & hispanic populations seem to be higher than on the east coast, so there's that, but still, not exactly a critical mass.)

I'm annoyed to hear that Michelle Forbes is in this because it makes me want to see it and the ads for this show online have been SO IRRITATING that I already swore I wouldn't watch it! I hate it when that happens.

I know there isn't a particularly high black population in Seattle, but how are there no Asian people in this show? For instance. I mean, on one hand I'm aware that I live in the diversity capital of North America and not everywhere looks like this. But on the other, TV should try harder.

I'm sorry the ads have been annoying, because it really is very good!!! Worth watching, and not just for Michelle Forbes, even though she's AMAZING and would be a good reason to watch even if the rest of it were not also fabulous!
