Castle is overtaking Bones as your happiest of happy places?! I don't know if we can be friends anymore . . . ;)

But yes, last night's Castle was delightful and fantastic, and I adore him beyond words. The costumes! (Which was better? I can't decide!!) The being-an-awesome-dad! The quipping! That being said, the best moment went to Kate at the end--she had me going, too.

Also, I've been back from my nice long weekend for two days and I am in desperate need of a vacation. I am jealous of your mental health day--but I am very, very glad you are getting some rest!

Despite their similarities, I do think Castle v. Bones is sort of an apples v. oranges kind of thing. As I've mentioned, the things I love about them are so different. But...ultimately if forced to choose between adorkable shippiness and adorkable grammar geeking, punning, and self-aware cleverness, I think I'd have to go with the latter. Fortunately, there is no need to choose, so I think we can still be friends! ;)

R. said I wasn't allowed to call yesterday a mental health day. Mental health days, she said, are the days that maybe you shouldn't really take off but you need to for your sanity. Yesterday was a "my god, you're allowed to have a day off every now and then!" day (and I quote). Today, however, it's back to the races. *hugs you*

I hope the soup turned out! I made some a couple of days ago when I could actually use the weather to justify it.

The soup was fabulous! And you were so right about the lemon juice. My roommate was all "lemon juice, really?" and I insisted, and it was just the right thing. I also added nutmeg, which was great. And it made a TON, so I put a bunch in the freezer, which will make excellent meals for the next couple of weeks. Yay!

Castle was fantabulous this week! The costumes, the being an awesome dad. One of my favorite parts was when Kate made the comment about the comic book lines and Castle quipped, that is the sexiest thing I've ever heard you say! Hee - this show is SO witty!

Oh, yes, the comic book line was gold!!! I love how this show just keeps getting better and better. So much love!
