ah, X-Files, how I will always love thee!

Up until I discovered Farscape a few months ago, The X-Files was still my favorite show--as it had been since about 1994 or so. I felt some amount of guilt, in fact, for the Farscape adoration that moved XF to the number 2 spot. But I've been re-watching seasons 5 and 6 of XF, since I got them for Christmas, and it's nice to know that even if it ( Read more... )

Thanks for the reminiscing. : ) So is Stargate #3? ; ) : )

I loved X-Files. I even had a X-Files Season Finale party. Krychek was my favorite Bad Guy. He was so nasty and he got whumped alot. It sucks that SPACE or any other channel is not airing it. I occassionally come across it on FOX. It was too bad I didn't discover Internet Fandom until late 2002. I keep thinkin of how much I have missed by coming along so late. I have made some great friends and had so much fun over the past 4 years by being involved in Stargate fandom.

Do you get Omni 2, or is that a Toronto thing? Because they show XF every night at 10.

And I guess Stargate is my number 3 show. It's certainly that high or higher in terms of my personal investment in it, but I don't think it's a particularly brilliant show. It's not particularly well-written, is sometimes not particularly well-acted, and it will often just piss me off in general. In terms of a show that just takes my breath away at its sheer wonderfulness (like Farscape and XF do), I'd have to go with something like The West Wing as number three. But I do adore Stargate, flaws and all, and really, I love it for its flaws. It's difficult for me to categorize, though. ;)

Omni must be a Toronto thing.

In terms of taking my breath away I would have to say that Stargate does that for me. Flaws and all. ; ) : ) Having it air five nights a week on SPACE certainly helps.

I loved the WEST WING. I stopped watching when Aaron Sokin left. It just didn't seem like the same show anymore. I wasn't at all interested in the whole Zoey gets kidnapped story arc. I watched until the end of 2002/03 season and that was it. I was hoping that Donna and Josh would get together. I cried when President Bartlett's first secretary died. Mark Harmon did a awesome guest appearance. I loved him and CJ.

If I was to list my top currently on air shows they would be Stargate, Atlantis, NCIS, CSI and BSG.

Yeah, I also pretty much stopped watching TWW when Sorkin left. I probably would have stuck with it for a while at least, but him leaving also coincided with it being inconvenient for me to watch it that season.

And I'm not sure what I would list of favorite shows currently on air, other than Stargate. I actually don't watch that much. I like Veronica Mars fairly well, and I enjoy the occasional episode of SVU, and I still watch Atlantis even though I'm getting increasingly frustrated with it. One of these days I'll get around to watching BSG, but it's kind of hard since it doesn't air on any channel I get. But I'm having so much fun re-watching Farscape and X-Files that I have little use for current TV. God bless DVD box sets!
