wee Narnia ficlet

Not sure I'm particularly pleased with this, but it's the first thing my muse has cooperated on in ages--hopefully a sign that she's waking up a little bit. And Narnia fic is an entirely new idea for me--I'm intrigued by the possibilities there! Edmund-centered, spoilers for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Thanks, hon!!! I think the "British" may reside solely in the line "Pevensie's gone soft"--was definitely going for British schoolboy there! ;)

Oh squee - Narnia fic! And an interesting look at how individuals deal with forgiveness. It oft seems that case that we, and others, are far more prone to "remember" than God is. ; )

I've been debating with myself whether I want to re-read the book before seeing the film. Part of me wants to, to kind of build up some anticipation. But then part of me is afraid if I do then I'll be prone to get jerked out of the "moment" during any of those times when the film version deviates from the written version in some way. *sigh* I think I'll probably wait... for me it's often more interesting to see where the variations were after seeing the film.

Oh, and I love your "not a tame lion" icon. Reminds me of one of my favorite lines from the book, when the children ask the Beavers if Aslan is safe. "Of course he's not safe. But he is good." : )

Thanks, hon! I think Edmund is a brooder, so I don't see him just putting something like that behind him terribly easily. Or at least that was what struck me when I re-read it this week.

And yes, I decided to re-read it, though I did debate it a bit. But it was mostly egotistically motivated: I consider myself quite the Narnia expert, but it had been a while since I had read TLtWatW (is there a standard abbrviation for that yet? because there needs to be!). I was worried that I wouldn't remember where the deviations were and therefore look inexpert. Silly, I know, but true. And it was lots of fun to re-read it! There are several of the others I'd like to re-read as well.

Hee Narnia fic!
I wasn't looking for this, but since I've just watched Caspian, t'was exactly what I needed. And it's lovely, great look at Edmund and forgiveness.

This has been the weirdest week in terms of getting feedback on random old fic I forgot I wrote! A few days ago amilyn went through all my old Farscape stuff, wee drabbly things and all. 'Tis fun, remembering this stuff I'd sort of forgotten.

And thank you!
