Just watched Vanity Fair (2004), which I borrowed from the library in a spirit of faint obligation to take advantage of one of the very few perks of the job. What a beautiful creature the winner was - he clearly couldn't wait to lope off for some treats. Deep, humourous eyes. They normally give Crufts to something resembling Margaret Thatcher's hair, so it's good to see a proper dog get it for a change.

I did miss Richard Hammond from last year, though. His bored, very hung-over performances and open animosity from and towards Clare Balding added much unexpected flavour to proceedings.

What a disappointment. I quite fancied watching the film as well. I shall not bother if you don't recommend it.

Ostrich salami! *shudders* Walnut bread is tempting though.

Clearly, when malaheed is better, we must make conscious effort to meet up, it's been too long. Plus, I am always saying to ppl "You must meet my friend pellegrina, you'd really like her" and then remembering that I have only the haziest memory now of what you look like...I jest, but, y'know, it's been some time.

The ostrich was not as nice as the reindeer sausage, which I nearly polished off single handedly at the last game session. :o

The Australian Shepherd did look good - as did the second placed dog, the Welsh Springer Spaniel. The Pomeranian just looked silly.

Most amusing bit of Crufts had to be Speedy, the Swiss obedience competitor.
