I find a similar problem with humans.

LOL! Yes, yes, everything's fine - more or less. This was just an observation I made while playing with the littlest kitten in the house(I call her Scrunt). I lament that fact that she won't stay tiny, and will in fact one day be a full grown cat with all the cuteness sucked out of her.

AHAHAHA! I really thought this was a metaphor for bigger, human-related problem. But yes, totally true--there are moments when you wish you could freeze time and keep 'em young and cute forever. I've known one cat my entire life that isn't a complete douchebag once it got older.

Yes, that pretty much sums up my opinion of cats. I like them in small doses, especially when they're young, but will never live with one again. Adult cats seem to be spiteful and stand-offish, something I have no use for in humans, let alone animals. I'm a dog lover through and through.

Spiteful? Stand-offish? Good Lord!

I've had many cats in my life and I can say only one of them is a bit bitchy. She came to us as a five week old feral, found on the river bank and has had major health problems since day one. I think she's in pain pretty much all the time.

MoMo is our mini kitty who rides around draped across our shoulders. She is as affectionate as any animal I have ever known. Roku, our blue Maine Coon has the most gentle, laid back personality. Every time I sit down he is in my lap, asking for attention. He loves on everybody who comes for a visit, especially the "womens"!

All of my five cats follow me around the house 24 hours a day; hubby says they are my little solar system. Some cats do have aloof personalities. But a mean cat has usually been the subject of shabby treatment. Maybe with your kind heart, little Scrunt will be affectionate too!

Yeah, I wish I could have kept Scrunt, but they wouldn't let me take her back to VA with me! Of course, my allergies rejected the idea too...

Anyway, I'm sure there are sweet and gentle cats out there - it just seems I haven't met them. LOL! Maybe I should come out to Washington. ;)
