bird with a death wish

A bird tried to commit suicide in front of my car this morning. He just dive-bombed my tires while I was pushing 50mph! I don't think I've ever come so close to cardiac arrest. I don't know how he cheated death, but I checked my rear-view mirror and I saw him fly away unscathed. I bet the other birds will be buying him a few rounds while he tells

I hate when they do that! He's in the club now. He won't have to do that little stunt again soon. I had a Tundra swan scrape his tummy on my roof one night as he flew over my car. It was scary but he made it. He would have taken me out along with himself!

Glad you didn't have to find him in your grill.

Yeah, I've had this happen on several occasions, but I'm not sure than any of them gave me such a fright as the one this morning. It happened with a duck once. Fortunately, my mother was driving and the duck was okay. Silly bird!

Oh Birdie!! *whew!* I'm so glad he made it! I was once driving a van when a little bird did the same thing to me, only he flew at my window and got caught under the visor of the van. I was driving about the same speed you were and didn't want to get into an accident so I tried to brush him off with my wipers <--bad idea! They just kept slapping the poor little fella! I had to pull over so he didn't have to fight the momentum of the wind (and the wipers) and finally flew off safely. :)
