Really, it was a great gift to me -- your visit, I mean. It was good to see you, and good to hang out; it had definitely been too long since the last time. And talking writing was an excellent thing to do.
I hope the books prove useful, and I suspect that all sorts of fascinating historical details will come and find you in order to indicate where the right track is. (Isn't it cool how that works? I've always loved that about writing fantasy. So many writers talk about it... though I am tired enough that I can't recall specifically whom I'm remembering... Tim Powers, probably. Emma, certainly. And so forth.)
