I'm glad everything turned out and was satisfactory! If you eat leftover plum pudding tomorrow, I recommend heating up the slices in the microwave (and then topping them with hard sauce). It looks gorgeous with the holly!
I've never captured the flame on film; it's much too ephemeral and faint. Ours usually burns blue, and we turn out the lights when we flame the pudding in order to see it.
Just before I served it, I also took down A Christmas Carol and read the two paragraphs about Mrs Cratchit serving plum pudding at the Christmas Eve family dinner.

It's almost impossible to catch alcohol flames on camera probaly because they don't give off a lot of light. I guess it's why all Bunsen burners are poorly adjusted in films...
