Another one down, several more to go
Whew, this one was almost as hard to paint as the Black and Red Dragon I did! Blue will be living with Blackie (Black Knight Dragon). His base coat is a mix of Metallic Blue Sapphire and Metallic Blue Pearl. He's antiqued in Ultramarine Blue. The belly, horns and accents are close in color for the belly of the Daffodil Kirin. Then I went over the belly with Interference Blue. He started out with a Topaz jewel, but it was lost and replaced with a Jonquil which fits the scheme better.
I tried taking pictures outdoor today, but they totally misrepresented the blue so the ones I took in the kitchen last night will have to do. It's actually fairly close in color, but the base blue is actually a little richer shade of a blue.
After visiting with druidmage's family during the holidays I have requests for several more PYOs - a red-eyed dragon in blacks and blues (like Black and Red), an odd-eyed wolf with a scar through one eye and a blue-eyed unicorn I get to paint however I want. I'm thinking either appaloosa or similar to "Faery Ring" by Nene Thomas.
