Aw, Dean: Did you shave your head like I suggested? Are you lonely? And Dean's so lonely and needs so badly for Sam to miss him. Crazy guy is going to get himself killed missing Sam.

favorite line:...and more than anything, he wants Sam to want to come back. Wonderful.

I'm so glad Sam came back for him. There's so much longing and need here, all of it bittersweet.

I really liked this story, the way that it unfolds, how desperately lonely Dean is and how stubborn.
It's kind of a logical thing for them to do, and I think you capture why they'd never do it... because they're CRAP at being without each other by now.
Lovely, sad, beautiful, and phew, a happy ending.
Very nice indeed.

Thank you! I think you're right- there's lots of good reasons for them to split up, but it would mess them up to an absurd degree.

Oh, boys. And this is *canon*, because in season one they couldn't even go a day without calling, and you *know* they'd have been a mess if they'd have to be apart for any time now.

I love Dean just getting so damn stir crazy and lonely that he can't even function.

I really liked this. It's such an interesting look at what Dean would be like without Sam. You really captured his loneliness and how he was slowly going out of his mind without Sam there. It was a great read.

something about crawling into the single bed to listen to the sound of nobody breathing makes him flinch.

That wsa one of my many favourite lines. This was so fabulous, I loved it so much.
