The Harmonizer version of "Suffer in Silence" by Apoptygma Berzerk is one of the most sublimely perfect synthpop songs in existence.

I like remixes and cover versions when people put an interesting spin on things, but some of them are just appalling. I should have known my ex wasn't right for me when he said his favourite album by The Cure was "Mixed Up" *sigh* Now that is a pile of cack - "Oh let's put lots of reverb on the vocals and add a dancey beat! I've never heard of Apoptygma Berzerk (the first name sounds almost like a sneeze in a foreign language! LOL) but now I'm curious, because you mentioned that one of their songs is a great example of synthpop. :) As you know, I'm an 80s music freak, mainly because I was an impressionable teen in that decade, and one of the MANY musical genres I love from that decade is synthpop! ;D So, if you can direct me to a website where I can listen to a song clip (without having to join the site or get otherwise hassled), that would be awesome! Thanks!

Oooh I'm very out of the loop when it comes to downloading but the Wikipedia entry for APB (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apoptygma_berzerk) has some links to fansites, maybe you can DL some clips there...? It's more "gothic" synthpop than light 80's sounding music, but I really love it ^_^
