I remember the days when ICQ was the best instant messenger around.  I still think it's the best one, really, but no one uses it anymore.  It was so feature rich and intuitive.  That's where I learned the word 'assuage' and the habit of using the single hash quotation marks.  I had an excellent teacher.  Good times.
