It really was :) I love soup.

This week, I am going to try beetroot soup. I just have to find a good recipe.

Get yourself a chook carcass or a kilo of drumsticks for a few bucks and make your own stock. So worth it.

Oh man, bacon hocks. So much love for them. Pea and ham soup made with bacon hock is one of my favourite foods, so delicious and salty.

I was actually going to make that! But we've been eating lots of peas lately and Himself was feeling a bit over them. I might try it after a break - I still have half the stock and bacon left :)

Do it. :) I can't eat legumes at the moment because of food intolerance issues, and I'm sulking at the thought of a winter without my pea'n'ham.
