So I stopped by the burrito place today, which is on a bike path in a trendy area right across from the space center. It's bike month, ride your bike to work week, etc... This of course is a bit of a follow up on my previous post.

Next time you see other bikes (unchained, chained to unsuitable objects), why not put a little note on them asking the owners and their families to join your campaign?

Good idea, I might make little signs with string loops for the handle bars with a URL that points to my previous entry.

If I had any reliably regular time off I would start a Meetup.com group.

Add a QR code to that URL, just to look professional. :)

Another idea: Maybe you can, when you see a suitable unoccupied sidewalk that should have had a rack, use a piece of chalk to mark out a suitable rectangle, and write inside it "Where is the bike rack that should have been here? Write to [name of person in charge] and get them to set one up!" or something to that effect. Unless, of course, chalking on the sidewalk is considered "defacing" or something.

Time off is never an abundant commodity, it seems. :)

I really like this idea. Both of them.

I'll bet Cafe Press would be a great way to get good looking signs.
