I tested this with your friends page at ozdragonlady.livejournal.com/friends I tested it with Firefox on OSX, Linux, and XP. I then tested it with Safari on OSX I tested it with Konqueror on Linux I tested it with IE 7 in Windows I tested with Opera in OSX and Windows, for some reason Opera thinks I should downgrade my OS and/or hardware to run it on Linux
It worked with all of them unaltered.
Do you need hardware? I've got some extra and I'm willing to ship it configured with an OS and everything if you want. Most modern power supplies can handle US and AU voltages/frequencies, you'll just have to have your own cord. I've done lots of international hardware swapping with folks from the old user friendly world. Best I've got extra at moment is a 1.1 Ghz Athlon, but it's yours if you want it.

No, hardware is fine thanks .. perhaps I may need a new version of javascript (but that should have upgraded with Opera) ... or maybe its Opera 9.21 conflicting with XP Home service pack ? ...
I am seriously over M$ conflicts .. we have so many at work it has put me off using them except when necessary. Any future setup I have will definitely be Open source of some kind. And dont get me going on their need for bigger and faster machines and higher and higher resolutions ... efficient software is so much more consumer friendly!
