Any word from your friend at PCA (aside from the initial "oh, you've totally got it")? It strikes me that it should be helpful to have a spy on the inside.
so i did talk to the person who would (will- i hope) be the one hiring me and we set up a "time to meet" next tuesday. it seems quite promising- the fact that she didn't say interview makes me soooooo happy. i feel like its probably just a matter of us making sure we don't rub each other the wrong way and me having the appropriate availability... i didn't talk to my friend who already works there, but part of me wants to come at this without too much extra info so i can feel like i'm judging it for myself.
Well, just be ready for the "meet" to be an interview, just in case she's one of those people that acts casual like that. That happened to me once, years ago -- for some movie that I did that I didn't even get paid for. The guy made it sound all casual, and then I didn't even bring a resume to what clearly ended up being an interview. I got the job, but I felt really stupid.
