I was kinda naughty and played ahead on one of my families.  Generation Six has made its official appearance!  I won't say who the parents are.  I think it's rather obvious, but maybe not.  (No.  It's pretty obvious).  So, if you don't want to be spoiled, then don't look at my pretty babies.

NOM NOM NOM! )

Cute! Red hair and the nose! Does this mean the one child ban has been lifted? Or did they just luck out with twins?

They totally lucked out. I saw it in the father's eyes. His eyes said, "Haha! I'm gonna give you natural twins! Twice the chance to pass on The Nose and red hair!"

I laughed when it happened, cause well, let's just say there will be some law breaking going on and I'll leave it at that :)

Cute twins are cute!

Where do you get your names from, btw?

As it's no major sekrit who the parents are, I guess, I can say. I try to go with fantasy genre for this one. Merlin started it. Aviendha is from "Wheel of Time" and Laurana is from "Dragonlance," etc.

Fleetwood is *very* obscure: it was one of the names of a plot member for the fantasy LARP Keith and I used to play. The Fleetwoods were/are awesome and are good friends of ours.

Aravis is sorta along the same vein: It was the name that I used for one of my characters for said LARP. But, I stole the name from C.S. Lewis' "The Horse and His Boy."

I am very prone to using a random name generator for most of my other names, unless I hear a name that I really like. Then I write it down and use it later. Case and point: Rose and Jill just miraculously spawned a child in record time and I named him Ashton as that was the name that came up on the generator that I really liked. If Karen's kid is a girl, I'll use Sophie as that's the girls name that ame up on the generator.

TL;DR: I name them on a whim with no exact theme :P

C.S. Lewis = win, even though that's my least favorite book in the series.

And random names makes sense, though it doesn't work for me. I'm a themes type of person. :P

LOL, TBH, I panicked when it came to Aravis' name. I cheated the pregnancy and newborn stage and skipped them right to toddlerhood as that's where the chapter following this next one will pick up. It's a spare house, so I'm allowed. Anyway, I drew a complete blank for a girl's name until Aravis popped into my head. It's amazing how much you scramble through a billion names from all the books you've read, yet NONE of them pop into mind when you need them most.

I would have done a theme if I had been more imaginative. Alas, it's too late now. The Lewis family is lucky I try at all :)
