thank you bb! SO MUCH UNEXPLORED POTENTIAL WITH THESE TWO. SO MUCH.
Lee is so awkward with his words and surprisingly easy with physical affection, which sounds odd given his professional talents, but it makes sense and not just because Taurons are big damn Italians. He can be a literal shoulder to lean on gracefully but he'll trip all over himself trying to be vulnerable. LEE ADAMA. SWEET BOY. NOT TOO STABLE.
It is so heartbreaking because oh my God, she loves him so much and it makes me want to smack it into his head! But I understand why he doesn't get it. It's tragic.
Just saw this rec'd over at bsg_epics and thought I'd take a look - there's not nearly enough season 4 era Lee/Laura fic. Their relationship was so beautifully portrayed at the beginning of the series and kind of tapered off from there, so I love seeing little gaps like this filled!
“I did a lot of things. Would you care to be more specific?”
“Any of it. All of it.”
“I don’t know.” She pauses. “It was all I did. It was me, for a while. There wasn’t any how about it. Just what, and when it could happen.”

The lady asked you a question, he rebukes himself in a deep, rough voice, answer her, and wills his mind to cast out something.
Haha, this is so Lee.
“I couldn’t have done that. Made myself into the office. I did the job as best I could, but I couldn’t change that way.”
“Of course not, Lee.” He catches his face as it starts to fall. “It’s who you were all along.”
This is so, so beautiful. These two. Perfect. Perfectly rendered.
