I really like how your piece doesn't dismiss the way society looked at homosexuality then. It's really a lovely understated piece. I like how Ray is so cautiously hopeful while Gerard just isn't coping as well.

This is so precious and sad. I liked how you mentioned Gerard's 'moods', because proper treatment was still decades away not to mention how the war and Mikey's death must have affected him. Ray is an adorable sweetheart, I love how much he cares for Gerard, wants something for them and can be the force that brings them closer :DD
