yeah, the little personalities and i want, i want is starting to show up with a vengeance. time to learn to hide things before he sees them to avoid the fight (i.e. pick your battles, Momma).
it may be the long awaited tooth as well, have you seen anything trying to come out yet?
Gumline was a little bumpy this morning, but that's about it. He just didn't want to play, eat, sleep, or be held. It was really odd.
I checked him for a fever (nope) and made sure that he was clean and dry before I put him into the crib. We had a couple of minutes of whining before he sacked out. I'm surprised, because he slept until about 8am, but I guess more sleep was in the cards.
mine's been going back and forth on the sleep thing. for a while, he would get a good morning nap in and then not sleep long in the afternoon. now he's back to a 2 hour nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap in the afternoon, we'll see if it sticks.
maybe it's growing that makes them want to sleep? *shrug* i dunno but it's nice when they sleep a lot, makes for a much less grumpyguss...(you figure out if i mean me or him :) )
There are times when I wish that we would have gone with something a little more boyish, like the safari theme that Chris liked. But his room is so bright and colorful that it makes me happy everytime I go in there.
We dropped the mattress down to the middle position about 3 weeks ago. He hasn't shown any inclination for climbing out of it or using the bumper as a stepping tool. We do need to lower it to the final setting, although it isn't much lower.
He was 31.5" at the ped's visit. My mom's comment? "He's half as tall as I am and he's not even a year old yet!" :)
When do they transition to a toddler bed? I thought this crib could convert to a daybed/toddler bed setup, but I was wrong. The other crib from this manufacturer does. So we're going to get the toddler bed and nightstand from the noxiously annoying baby store. *ugh* I hate that place.
bah, boyish smoyish. i like the theme and bright and happy are wonderful for a baby's room. bright and cheery makes me happy as well.
he is going to be a tall boy, but we knew that since you two are no slouches in the height department. jakob was 30 inches at his year appointment and Connor's already taller, amazing. :)
i haven't really looked into the when to go to a toddler bed thing but i'm thinking it's when they start wanting to climb out of bed or if sibling is coming along and you need the crib. something i'll have to look into to see what the recommendations are. i did get a convertible crib/daybed/toddler bed/full size headboard bed but we may end up having to get bunk beds or a trundle bed should any siblings come into the picture.
